Company Profile - RE/MAX of the Battlefords

The franchise RE/MAX® of the Battlefords first established in North Battleford 1987 Nov 12. Local entrepreneur Mike STEIRT (Realtor®) was the first owner and had as his Broker long time resident Bill TAYLOR. Attached to the business as Agents were such notables as George ALCOCK, Victor BUJNOWSKI, Lloyd LEDINSKI later to be joined by Lynne BURTON who replaced Bill TAYLOR as the Company Broker. The first location was the old Hunter's building that was to be found on the ten hundred block 101st Street across from the (Capri) Hotel.

The franchise later moved to the strip mall at 1471 100th Street and on 1993 July 01 the business was sold to local Realtor® Phillip A HOFFORT. 1997 Archie ROBINSON joined HOFFORT as a business partner, re-Located to 1361 on 100th Street and it was around this time that the RE/MAX Branch Office opened in the Territorial Mall.

1998 November 01, Roger MANEGRE, purchased the franchise from Phil HOFFORT. Roger was born and raised in the Battlefords and was the former Mayor of Cut Knife. It continued to operate at the 1361 100th Street address and in the summer of 2000 the business relocated to its present location 1391 100th Street which subsequently led to the closing of the Office at the Territorial Mall.

2007 November 28th RE/MAX of the Battlefords established a Branch Office in Meadow Lake bearing the name RE/MAX of the Battlefords -Meadow Lake with Realtors® Crystal HERROD, Lyall FRIESEN, Marvelle FRIESEN, Catherine ALDOUS and Jodie COWAN.

On May 1, 2010, Brian MAUNULA purchased 100% of the RE/MAX of the Battlefords and RE/MAX Meadow Lake franchise. Brian has thirty one years banking experience with twenty years at a CEO level. The RE/MAX office has a total of 23 highly qualified agents that specialize in Residential, Recreational, Farm and Commercial real estate.
